When I recognized the need for a structured living home for women, I decided to open Grace House. Its name embodies the gift bestowed upon us through living by spiritual principles. It is also the name of my daughter, who was a small child when sober house I recovered and to whom I dedicate my efforts of paying forward what I have been given by other women in recovery. ​Once I began the body of work designed to provide a necessary spiritual experience, I knew that I could recover. My life today is incredible, and for me, I believe it started when I stepped off the plane and into the open arms of Randi and Poe at Dignity House. Two and a half years later, they are still where I go when I’ve had a tough day, when I need good advice, or a home cooked meal. I emerged with my head held high, full of more grace and dignity than I had ever possessed in my life. We serve women— daughters, sisters, wives and mothers—who need structure and professional support in early recovery to build a solid basis for sustained sobriety.
